A few details to consider for a commissioned pet portrait.
Use this information as a guide when determining the portrait you would like to have painted.
Remember - the more detail I can see to paint, the more it will look like your pet. I cannot work from blurry or dark photos. The more photos you can send me the better.
- Take into consideration how you will frame and mat the portrait
- For canvases, are you wanting a deeper style gallery canvas?
- Your preference on the composition of the portrait could also determine if the layout is completed in landscape or portrait
Oil paintings are a classic for sure but maybe you prefer the pastel look. I have both styles featured in my portfolio so that you can see the difference. If you are looking for something entirely different, then I would be happy to talk through your vision and see what we can come up with.
Pastels do not require any drying time so they should be finished much quicker than oils that will require time to dry after completion and before I am able to hand them over. Completion time will also be determined by the projects ahead of your request.
These are only guidelines. If you have a special request or would like to ask questions, please, reach out to me via email at candi@candiharrisart.com and I will be happy to discuss.
